Chibok schoolgirls: Buhari urges parents to be more patient

President Muhammadu Buhari has  asked parents of the 219 schoolgirls stolen by Boko Haram two years ago to exercise more patience as his government explores options to rescue the girls. Buhari  said this today in a  statement coinciding with the second anniversary of the kidnapping of the girls, which has provoked global outrage against Boko Haram and Nigeria’s government’s inaction. Buhari however pleaded for more time, adding that, like the parents,  he frequently reflects on the ordeal of the captives in the hands of Boko Haram terrorists and shares the pain of their continued absence from home.
