After rumours of ill-health, TY Danjuma shows up at Northeast committee parley
– General Theophilus Danjuma is alive and well
– Rumours of his ill-health had been in the news last week
– The retired general showed up at a parley today, November 30
The rumours surrounding the health of retired General Theophilus Danjuma is false after all.
Sahara Reporters had reported that
Danjuma was flown out of Nigeria in an air ambulance last week for medical care abroad.
The information appears to be false as Danjuma today, November 30 appeared at a parley organised by the
Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative (PCNI) which he heads.

The PCNI was established by President Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the primary national strategy, coordination and advisory body for all humanitarian interventions, transformational and developmental efforts in the North-east region.
The committee is designed to oversee all remedial programmes aimed at addressing the crisis in the North east since 2009.
Danjuma, 77, is from Taraba, a state in the region and is also Nigeria’s former minister of works and former Chief of Army Staff.
There was apprehension over his rumoured illness, but his appearance at today’s parley has put paid to the false alarm.

Meanwhile, the PCNI on Thursday, October 27, said about
$9 billion has been lost the insurgency in the North east.
The committee said the huge amount was lost to the destructive activities of Boko haram terrorists in the region, adding that they mapped out a strategic framework that would soon be inaugurated by President Buhari with the aim of rehabilitating and reconstructing the region.
