Cleric Seeks Assistance For The Needy

Governments and politicians have been urged to come up with policies and programmes targeted at empowering the populace, especially the less-privileged in the country.

The pastor-in-charge of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Mountain of Mercy , Erio Ekiti, Prophet Samuel Olu-Alo, who gave the urge also appealed to well-to-do Nigerians to always come to the aid of the needy in society, saying “God has blessed you to bless others and there is joy and blessings in giving”.

Prophet Olu-Alo who spoke with journalists on his annual empowerment scheme for students and widows holding in his home towm Ido Ekiti, in Ido-Osi local government area said the scheme was an effort designed to help the needy in society.

On the occasion, the cleric will offer scholarships to some outstanding Senior Secondary School Three (SSS3) students, pay the Senior School Certificate Examination fees of some indigent SSS3 students and as well distribute food and empowerment materials to widows in the community.

The cleric, said the empowerment programme, which is being incorporated into his yearly evangelical programme, Ido/Osi Open Air Crusade, was targeted at ensuring outstanding and needy students in the community were given helping hands to assist them in their education.

According to him, the handout to the widows will alleviate the hardship occasioned by the present hard times in the country.

Olu-Alo said the 2016 edition of the Ido/Osi Open Air Crusade holding next week between Sunday and Friday at Ido Ekiti, Ekiti State would witness evangelism, salvation of souls, healing, deliverance from bondage and yokes, Holy Spirit impart, transformation of lives and miracles.

He said the revival, which would have in attendance other notable anointed men of God, would as well be yet another opportunity to pray for the restoration of the country’s lost glory, assuring that God would hearken to the cries of his beloved and turn the situation of the country around for better.
