Forum of Ex- LG Council Chairmen Drums Support for Gov Emmanuel

Forum of former Appointed Chairmen of Local Government Councils in Akwa Ibom  has  aligned themselves with the  giant strides  Governor Udom Emmanuel to enable him continue with his sustainable development agenda.

Addressing journalists on Wednesday in Uyo on behalf of others Chairperson of the group Obongawan Lovina Effah expressed preparedness to mobilize people in support of the Governor.

Obonawan said the group resolves to support the Governor Udom’s led administration is born out of the fact that the state is on steady path of development, economic renaissance and excellent manner of our dear Governor is managing the resources bof the state for development human empowerment and capacity building.

She explained that in the last one and half years, Governor Udom Emmanuel has proved himself a worthy leader that can adequately take charge of the affairs of the state amidst daunting challenges.

According to the group, the administration of the Governor has made great strides in all critical sectors in line with his administration’s campaign promises to change the land scape of the state and its people for good.

‘’We have observed with keen interest the prudence and transparency he has brought to bear in governance in particular at this period of recession  where many states could not pay salaries to their workers which is highly commendable and hereby pass vote of confidence on the Governor’’ she stated.

She commended the Governor for appointing some members of the group  to serve in his government.
