Chamberlain Eyeing Brit Cruiserweight Title
Isaac Chamberlain is hoping to extend his unbeaten run next month and hopes it gets him closer to contending for a cruiserweight title.
The British fighter suffered a dislocated shoulder in a boxing match against Camacho last September, but still won the fight.
Chamberlain will be fighting his next fight March 17, against an opponent that is yet to be determined, and he’s targeting the Briton belt, which is being contested by Matty Askin and Craig Kennedy a week earlier.
“I will be looking at that fight very closely,” Chamberlain told Sky Sports. “I’ll be studying that fight and trying to look for the flaws that they both have, and try to exploit that.
“I’m probably two fights away. That would be a good thing to do, but right now I’m focusing on my own progression, because I believe if I work hard and everything is 100 per cent in my training, then I don’t think anyone can beat me.
“It’s just all about progressing at this stage of my career. I’m still learning, but with the wins I’ve had so far, that’s boosted me right up.”
