Thugs disrupt pensioners meeting

OWERRI—A gang of suspected thugs, believed to be acting out the script of Imo State Government, on Tuesday, disrupted the scheduled meeting of pensioners at the Imo International Conference Centre, IICC, Owerri.
Vanguard, who closely watched the drama from a safe distance, gathered that although the meeting had earlier been scheduled by the senior citizens at the place, the pro-government elements however thought that the frail and hapless citizens were plotting a showdown ahead of the arrival of the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to Owerri.

“The thugs were obviously discharging the instructions they received from the functionary. God is obviously seeing how we are being treated in this state”, the woman said.
All efforts made to speak with Comrade Chilakpu on the matter failed before press time, as his mobile line could not be reached. Will impact positively on the lives of our people in the 17 Local Government Areas of the State”. Ugwuanyi further hinted that “attention
