Edo Group Seek PMB Approval For Gelegele Seaport, Others

Edo Forum of Patriots, (EFP),  a social cultural Group yesterday  appealed to Mr President Muhammadu Buhari to as urgency approve the proposed development of Gelegele seaport and power plant for the state.

They noted that with the federal government intervention in the proposed project is capable of transforming the economic landscape of the state.
The group in a statement signed by its President Hon Austin Atakpu, also among others seek the renewal of pipeline protection contract, the take off of maritime University, and the registration of hitherto non-modular refineries in South/South region.
“We are also particularly interested in positively relating and aligning the Edo race with the national and corporeal vision of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We deem it necessary to write to appreciate your salutary approval of three salient development issues in the Niger Delta region
“We believe this gesture of yours is a masterstroke towards achieving needed development and peace in the Niger Delta Area and achieving further its attendant implications for our national economy”
“In the same connection, we will like to humbly call your attention to a similar economic growth opportunity with massive potentials in Edo State. We  are referring to the proposed development of our Gelegele seaport and power plant concerning which, a large number of investors have indicated warm willingness to partner with the government in building on mutually beneficial agreements models.
