Alhaji Modibo, who gave the warning in a press conference held in his Jos office, said some residents have formed the habit of tampering with their metres so as to make use of electricity free. The Jos DISCO covers four state including Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe and Benue states respectively.
However, the same people who complained of estimated billing are resisting us from installing the pre-paid metres. We are however surprised to discover that many residents do not want the meter installed and even in some cases, these meters are vandalised as soon as we install them.”
