2ov Throwback Thursday – The ‘Miss Teen South Carolina Meltdown’ Viral Video

Teenagers can’t be relied on to talk sense, but even by those standards Caite Upton had a shocker at the Miss Teen USA 2007 pageant.

Fielding a question from guest judge Aimee Teegarden, Miss Teen South Carolina Caite was asked about why Americans struggle to find their own country on a world map.

The rest, as they say, is history.

South Africa even gets a shout out – yay for us:

Rumour has it she grew up to be a Trump supporter.

OK we can’t confirm that, but back in 2014 Bustle did a follow up piece on what Caite is up to:

According to her [LinkedIn] profile, Upton has left her beauty pageant days in the past, though she is now in the market of answering questions as a real estate agent for Keller Williams in Brentwood, California. Her profile states that she “truly enjoys helping her clients find the right homes, sell their properties, or find the right type of investment properties.”

Her LinkedIn also boasts an impressive resume of TV, commercial, and print appearances both as a television personality and as a model. But for now, it seems that Upton has found her true calling in real estate, and will be helping many Americans find their new homes on maps in her latest profession.

Let’s check her LinkedIn:

Feel free to come visit South Africa anytime, Cait, provided you can find us on a map.
