Domestic Violence: Exciting new movie “Heart beats” now showing in Cinemas

A new movie that is set to be the talk of town “heart beats” is hitting the Cinema this week in grand style. Directed by veteran Nollywood director, Moses Eskor and produced by Favour Puskas: the movie turns it light on domestic violence in Sub-Saharan Africa and highlights the struggles of the abused to fight back.


In a well-crafted plot Mr Michael (played by Frederick Leonard), a brutally heartless husband reduces his wife Thelma (Ruth Kadiri) to nothing in an open show of violence; Rosslyn (Sedater Saviour), Thelma’s younger sister will always be that moral foil thickening each plot to its warm as Nancy (Favour Puskas) becomes handy as the deaus ex-machine.


The movie highlights the struggle of the abused to speak up and seek help in a society that offers little to protect the broken.


Heart beats is reportedly spent N15 million for its production and Metro Cinemas, distributors of the flick expect to rake not less a whooping sum of 50 million Naira at box office.
