Jonathan’s former special adviser and 2 aides to be arraigned by EFCC

– Former special adviser on Niger Delta Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, will be arraigned by EFCC before a Federal High Court in Abuja.

– Kingsley Kuku will be arraigned alongside his two former aide,: Lawrence Pepple and Henry Nonso Ugbolue 

– They are facing charges bordering on criminal conspiracy, false declaration of assets and fraudulent acquisition of property

Kingsley Kuku, ex-special adviser on Niger Delta Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Former special adviser on Niger Delta Affairs to President Goodluck Jonathan, Kingsley Kuku, will be arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday, March 22, before a Federal High Court in Abuja.

According to Sahara Reporters, Kuku will be arraigned alongside his two former aide,: Lawrence Pepple (Technical Assistant on Reintegration to the Special Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs) and Henry Nonso Ugbolue (Special Assistant, Media & Communication to the Special Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs).

They are to be docked on two separate charges bordering on criminal conspiracy, false declaration of assets and fraudulent acquisition of property.

Kuku and Ugbolue were reported to have conspired among themselves and awarded contracts running into millions to companies in which they had interests.

Ugbolue is the sole signatory of Great & Gamaliel Alliance Limited, the company which provided integrated management of communications and stakeholders’ engagement chain for the office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta.

Pepple on the other hand is director and sole signatory for KER Global Wave limited which was awarded a contract to provide Reintegration Support Services by the office of the special adviser to the president on Niger Delta under the presidential Amnesty programme.

The co-coordinator of the presidential amnesty programme had eor arrest by the EFCC, but in his judgment, the trial judge, Okon Abang noted that the anti graft agency is statutorily empowered investigate him over alleged fraud during his leadership.
