Yunusa Adamu Dangwani, the chief of staff to former governor of Kano state Rabiu Kwankwaso, was reportedly arrested on Saturday, March 19.

Daily Trust reports that Dangwani and other political associates of Kwankwaso were apprehended over an alleged plan to hold a political rally in the state.

The men were detained overnight at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Kano state police command.

“Last Tuesday, the lawmakers visited the governor and on Wednesday, a proposal to purchase vehicles for the legislators to the tune of N688m was tabled and approved at the State Executive Council meeting for them to purchase vehicles.
