Police Command promises security for residents ahead of Easter celebrations



The Lagos State Police Command on Sunday said it had put in place adequate security measures to for the residents ahead of the Easter celebrations.

Dolapo Badmos, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that residents of the state should be security conscious always.

The PPRO, also a Superintendent of Police (SP), assured the residents that the command would do everything within its powers to check various criminal activities.

“The police will not hesitate to carry out its responsibilities at all times that will include the Easter period.

“Already, the operational strategy is still on the ground to ensure safety of lives and property of all, and this will continue either during festive or non-festive period.

“Lagosians who are not criminally minded should enjoy their Easter celebration, but for the criminals, they should know that we will continue to bring them down.

“Residents should also be security alert and report any suspicious character and observation to the police for further investigation.

“The command will not stop to provide security for Lagosians and will ensure that the state is free from any form of criminality, “ she said.

Badmos , while wishing residents peaceful Easter celebrations ahead, urged them to always help the police with useful information.
