State Of Emergency In Charlottesville, US After Car Rams Into Crowd During

A State of emergency has been declared in Charlottesville, Virginia after a vehicle rammed into a crowd of counter-protesters, leaving one person dead on Saturday.
The male driver of the car was arrested, Virginia Secretary of Public Safety Brian Moran told the Associated Press.

The violence began in Charlottesville after white nationalists who planned a “Unite the Right” rally clashed with counter protesters at the Emancipation park.

One person was killed and 19 others injured as the car drove into several hundred protesters marching peacefully in a long line the AP reported
