A REPRESENTATIVE FROM university of law IS VISITING ABUJA AND PORTHARCOURT

The University of Law is one of the UK’s longest-established specialist providers of legal education. We can trace our origins to 1876 with the formation of leading tutorial firm Gibson & Weldon. With a rich heritage and a reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices, we continuously focus on developing the best legal minds. The University of Law has been given a Gold award for Teaching Excellence – the highest possible rating by UK Government.

We’ve trained more practising lawyers in the UK than anyone else. Our expert legal careers and employability service is one of the largest in the UK, with over 30 experts providing one-to-one support. We have the UK’s largest legal alumni group with over 64,000 members, giving our students excellent networking opportunities.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

What really sets us apart from other universities is the guiding principle that the current and future lawyers we teach should only ever learn in a realistic, professional and contemporary context with plenty of practical, interactive engagement.  That’s why we keep our contact hours high and our teaching groups small. We have ten campuses in nine cities around the UK, including two collaborations with the University of Exeter and the University of Reading. All are close to thriving commercial centres, law firms and barristers’ chambers, with excellent transport links.

Our study locations include London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Chester, Bristol, Guildford and online.

EMPLOYABILITY

Our Employability Service brings together the Careers and Pro Bono departments to provide you with the information, advice, practical experience and contact with the profession that you need to succeed in your legal career. Find out more about our employability here 96% OF 2016 LPC Graduates were employed within 9 months of Graduation.

THE BUSINESS SCHOOL

The University of Law Business School is a faculty of The University of Law offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees that prepare our students for the real world of business. We apply the same approach to business education as we always have to legal training, from our connections to prospective employers, experienced staff, innovative teaching methods and a focus on employability.

COURSES

Our Law and Business courses include BA in Business Management, LLB, Foundation, LLB (accelerated 2 years), MA Law, LPC, LLM, BPTC, GDL, Msc Strategic Business Management, HRM, Msc Strategic Corporate Financial Management, Msc International Marketing and lots more.
